The story of Blue Sky Fibers began with a small herd of alpacas in the founder's backyard. She started selling wool to a small store, before starting her own business. One of the goals of this manufacturer is to highlight the natural beauty of wool. In addition to alpaca wool, the Minnesota-based company offers sheep's wool, organic cotton, silk and cashmere.
The founder's last trip to Peru inspired her to create the Woolstok fiber. Woolstok is made of warm and light Highland sheep's wool. This fine wool can be used to knit garments that require worsted yarn.
